We are so excited to feature our first guest blogger, Megan Sanders, who is not only a BeautyCounter rep, but a local South Denver mom herself. I personally have been very intrigued about the BeautyCounter line and was very excited when she agreed to write a little something for us! As I have been changing things out around our house for cleaner options, beauty products have been high on my list to change as well.

Hi All!
Let me start by thanking Katie Hiatt and South Denver Moms for having me on here today! What an honor…especially because this whole mompreneur/side hustle thing is so new to me and I am in awe of all you amazing women out there juggling LIFE and taking care of your little’s and family!
I’m Megan, a mom of three kiddos who own my heart and wife to my amazing hubby and best friend, Ted. I’m a Colorado native and happy to have transplanted my husband here 8 years ago when we got married. All I ever wanted to do was be a mama and I feel very fortunate to stay home with my kids everyday.
I found Beautycounter 3 years ago, while pregnant with our second, and I wanted safer skincare options for myself. I wasn’t in love with any of the products I’d ever had and I wear very little make-up, if any somedays, so I was definitely in a position to change it up and make the clean swap. I tried the Nourishing Cream Cleanser and Day Cream thinking they’d be just like any other face care I’d used and I was completely blown away by how different my skin felt in a week. I had to have it! I even asked my friend who I purchased from (who is now my mentor) if I could borrow hers for longer while I waited for my order to arrive!!
Fast forward to this past summer, when I had a 4 yo, 2 yo and 4 mo and I suddenly decided I was ready for a new challenge amidst all the chaos. My days were full, my mind was constantly going with that lovely never ending to-do list constantly playing in my head, but I still wanted a little something that was just mine for me to have, succeed at, fail with and continue to get back up and try again. Beautycounter was something I was already very passionate about and wanting to share with anyone I could, so I took that leap and became a consultant. The day I finalized it all, I had almost talked myself out of doing it and then, on a play date with a mom I was getting to know better, I had the absolute best organic interaction over Beautycounter’s amazing Sunscreen. She had forgotten her sunscreen so I lent her mine with no intro of any kind and went to use the restroom. When I came back, she was desperate to hear more about where and how to buy it because she loved it so much from that first try! A product that sells itself…what more could you ask for?!
So, with that glowing review, let’s get to my top five favorite Beautycounter products…although narrowing it to five is not an easy task!!
1. Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20 – a great moisturizer, super light concealer and spf option that helps even skin tone beautifully
2. Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel– I use this almost daily after I shower at night and I feel my skin glowing and softer and rejuvenated in the morning3. Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Mist SPF 30 – the amazing sunscreen that sealed the deal for me on this adventure. I can use this on my kids and not feel like I have to bathe them that night….it’s seriously amazing and reef safe to boot.
4.Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser– a gentle yet super effective exfoliating Cleanser perfect for oily and blemish-prone skin like mine! 
5. Volumizing Mascara– I love a good colonizing mascara and this one does not disappoint
6. Countertime Regimen Set(especially Countertime Ultra Renewal Eye Cream) – this new line has taken anti-aging to a whole new level with safe, luxury ingredients and great retinol alternatives. I especially love this super rich, moisturizing eye cream
7.Illuminating Cream Highlighter– this is a recent purchase for me but one I’d had my eye on for a while. The radiance this gives my face is like nothing else I’ve ever tried!
